Challenge Points
Updating Championship Titles
ANCATS Championship Titles is done automatically for you by the ‘Cat Data computer program. No need to make an application
The only exception to this is Challenge points won at non-ANCATS shows.
These awards must be sent to ANCATS by scan, fax or mail to be included, Be sure to include the registration number of the cat you are claiming the point for.
ANCATS show challenge points and awards scale
The following tables summarise the points required to achieve Higher Status titles. Challenge points are awarded to a male and female in each colour section by breed.
These points apply to male and female entire and alter cats in the Pedigree Classes and male and female alter cats in the Companion Classes.
Companion cat awards
Domestic and part pedigree cats compete together unless there are sufficient numbers in each section to warrant separate awards. The companion cat will receive the title Champion in the same manner as the Pedigree section and as per the table above.
ANCATS National Champion
Judges in each ring may award ANCATS National Championship Awards to adults who have achieved Championship status or higher. An Award may be made to one male and one female in each of the entire and alter classes in the four pedigree groups: Longhair, Semi Longhair, Siamese/Oriental and Shorthair. Awards may also be made to one male and one female in the alter classes of the two companion groups: Part-Pedigree and Domestic.
The ANCATS National Champion titles are multi level and progress in a similar manner to that of the Championship titles. At some levels there are added requirements for Best in Group and Best in Show wins. The following tables summarise the Awards required to achieve ANCATS National Champion Titles.
At each of the following Bronze, Silver and Gold levels the cat must have achieved at least one Best in Group win, that is, come first in the Top 5.
At each of the following Opal, Sapphire and Diamond levels the cat must have achieved at least one Best in Show win, that is, placed first in the Top 10.
Ancats International Champion
If overseas judges award 50% or more of the Awards required at any one level then that cat is given the title of Ancats International Champion
